Snow

So we got like 3 or 4 inches of snow yesterday. This is not our first batch of snow this year, but it is the first time Copeland got to go out and play in it. He didn't know what to think at first. The snow was blowing in his face and he didn't like that, but once he got used to it, he loved it. He didn't want to go inside!

Not much has been going on around here. We have just been hanging out. Beau is getting around better, but it is still a challenge for him to stand or walk for long periods of time.
I started my second term of classes this week. I will graduate in Dec. of this year!! YAY So ready to be done! Once again I feel like all I do is homework.
Yesterday was actually really nice here so Cope and I went for a walk and then we went to play at the playground twice!! We love being outside. We are so ready for spring.
I go back for blood test again on Saturday - hopefully my levels are at 0 and hopefully this will be the last of the blood test!! It gets really old.  I didn't realize that it can take so long for everything to get back to normal. I'll give an update as soon as I get the results back.
I'll leave you with a few pics. Cope is just growing up so fast (he's 21 months) and he is sooo funny. I just laugh at him all the time.

we have to sit on everything while we are naked! this is what he does if we take his diaper off before we go upstairs for a bath :)

Oliver had to check things out haha

little stinker

sitting in a serving bowl!

we made rice crispy treats and copeland had a blast with the sticky bowl

what I would have done without her!!!)

It has been a very long week. I want to say thank you to all of those who have been praying for us. It still doesn't seem real... I still think about it everyday and wonder why?? I do not doubt God and his plan for our family, but I do not understand. And that's ok, we don't have to understand right now - or ever! I know that one day, I will hold our little baby in heaven.  Baby Gish is with Jesus and that is the best place baby can be!!
These versus have brought comfort to be over the last week and I hope they can help others who are going through a  hard time... I also think of Chelsa when reading these verses so girl these are for you!!

Jeremiah 31:3
Isaiah 41:10
sorry I didn't write the verses out.... I'm running short on time

A Broken Heart - and mixed emotions

This is very hard for me to write about right now, but I know I need to let everyone know that I am miscarrying. I started spotting again Friday night before I went to bed. I told Beau and called my mom, they both told me to just go to bed and see what is going on in the morning. I had been on a progesterone supplement and a side effect of getting off of that is bleeding so we were hoping that is what was going on. Well I woke up Saturday and the spotting/bleeding was progressively getting worse. I knew this couldn't be normal. So about 3:30 I go to the ER - with my friend Kerri, because Beau is still in pain and can't really get around. After a two and a half hour wait, I finally get in and waited about another hour for an ultrasound. Well there was a baby, but no heartbeat. I just broke down. I could see the little punkin, but I knew there was no heartbeat. I know that the Lord knows what he is doing, and this little baby is with Him now, but I just can't seem to understand why. I know this baby will never face any heart ache or never suffer, but I can't help but wish I could have carried and brought this baby into the world and loved it. I literally have a broken heart. Like I said, God has a plan and His plan was for this baby to not be with us. We are going to try to get through the next week or so, and talk about things, and hopefully try again. Thank you for all of your prayers and support during this trying time in our lives. Please keep us in your prayers. I do have a few new pics to post, I'll try to get that done soon.  My mom is on her way out here to help and to go to the doctor with me. Once again, I just keep saying the verse "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

Update on the Gish's

I went back to the hospital on Tues. for more blood work. I haven't gotten the results yet, but I feel pretty good. At least I think I do! I go to the doctor on the 11th, and I will have another ultrasound in about three weeks.
Beau had his surgery on Tues. It was a very long day, but we made it through. He is in a lot of pain but doing good. For those of you that don't know, he tore his ACL back in December. This was his second ACL replacement! Hopefully it will be his last!!
I can't quit thinking about Ryan and Chelsa, my heart just aches for them. I can't imagine what they are going through. I just pray that they find peace and healing in the Lord.
I hope everyone is having a good week and has a good weekend! God Bless!!!

Blessed Be The Name Of The LORD

I don't even know how to start this post so bear with me, Last tuesday (after we had announced to the world that I was pregnant) I started spotting a little. I didn't think anything of it because I did the same thing with Copeland and things were fine. So we went on with our week. Thursday rolls around and it's getting a little worse so I thought ok, I'll just call the doctor and let her know what is going on. She calls back and said she wants me to go in to the hospital and have some blood work done. Ok, no big deal. I go in thursday afternoon and they test my HCG level and progesterone. Friday the nurse calls and says that the doctor wants to do more test because my levels were really low. I didn't know what to think, I just started praying and feeling sick!! So I go back in on Sat. night to have the blood work done again. FYI - the HCG level was 2400 on thurs. I wait and wait for the results... HCG -2100. (in the early stages of pregnancy, your HCG level is supposed to double like every 48 hours or so). Ok, at this point I really feel sick. I get a call on Monday afternoon fromy doctor and she was like, I want to do another round of testing, but I just don't think this will be a successful pregnancy, if you haven't already miscarried, you probably will. WOW... I was just numb. I told Beau what the doctor said and he just told me to stay caland try not to worry - yeah right!!! I was just told the worst news ever!! How can I not worry??? So after a long weekend, and first part of the week, I had come to terms with the fact that we had probably miscarried, and although it was very difficult, I just kept saying the verse "for I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you hope and a future". I just kept repeating it over and over in my head. I also kept singing the song "Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be your name... you give and take away, you give and take away, my heart will choose to say, Lord blessed be your name".... I really thought it was over. We were just going to try again as soon as we could. Well yesterday I had to go back in for the 3rd round of blood tests, thinking it's over, but still not knowing for sure (the unknown and waiting was the worst)... I get the results... HCG- 2632... WHAT??? It didn't go down, but it didn't really go up that much either!!! What in the world is going on?? I just couldn't take anymore... I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't do anything but wonder what the world Lord, what are you doing?? Well I call the doctor and ask, and I was prepared to beg, for an ultrasound because I HAVE to know one way or the other... I go back in yesterday for the ultrasound... we saw the baby AND heard the heartbeat!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! I thought I was 8 wks... turns out, I aonly 6 wks and 4 days... that could be why the levels are so low, but we still don't know for sure. New due date is Sept. 20. We are not totally out of the clear yet, but we do have a baby!! I still have to do blood work to see if my levels go up... I go back in tomorrow. Hopefully this will be the last of it and she will tell me I'ok and we can get back to normal.... Just keep us in your prayers, pray that this little baby will fight and make it... but Pray that the Lord's will be done!!! We are so excited - even though we know it's still early and anything could happen. We are just rejoicing for the life I have inside of me right now!! It is all in the Lord's hands!!
I was always thankful for Copeland, and thanked the Lord for him every night, but wow aI ever so thankful for the child God has blessed us with already. Children truly are a gift and they are so precious. I will give an update as soon as I can! God Bless!

Baby boy growing up

I just had to post a few pics of  Copeland eating all by him self. He does a great job, and he doesn't sit in his high chair, he wants to sit in a booster seat a the table with us or on the stool at the bar. He is growing up so fast!! I guess thats a good thing considering we have baby # 2 on the way!!! Yes that's right, Cope is going to be a big brother! I am 7 wks, and my due date is Sept. 10! It's exciting and scary all at the same time.
Enjoy the pics!! :)

Bath time!
