Finally new pics

This week has gone so fast. I started school yesterday, well the first class is tonight- but I already have homework!!! UGH!
We had to take Oliver to the vet yesterday - he has had diarrhea(gross I know) for like 3 days and even thrown up. Well the vet said it was just an upset stomach!! It was not a cheap visit either... And Cope had to go to the doctor yesterday. He weighs 22.7 lbs, and is just shy of 32'' long. I can't believe how big he is getting. He had to get 3 shots and have blood drawn!! The lady had trouble getting the blood to draw. I was just about in tears, Cope was screaming, and I was just about to say enough when another guy finally got it! It was not a very good day! :(
Anyway, Hope everyone is having a good week!!!  Here are pics of Thanksgiving and other stuff.

Today on base, the Orange County Choppers were here. They presented a B-2 bike. It was really neat. If you ever watch the show, it will be the season opener! (Beau loves it so we watch it)
Sr. presenting the bike

It was freezing cold! Poor Copeland couldn't hardly stand it by the end.

This is a reindeer Cope got-it sings and dances! He loved it and it was good entertainment for the ride!!

These are toys that I played with as a kid!!

This is how I found these two one day. They were like this for a while :)

Back to school, back to school

Hello all!
It has been so long since I have posted. Things have been crazy the last week or so. We left on Sat. morning to head to IN. We have so far enjoyed being here for a longer stay. Usually we are only here for a weekend, but we wanted to enjoy it  :)
Things have been crazy though. I decided to go back to school - yes I'm a a student again!! I have been trying to get everything in order because classes start next wed!! I will be doing all classes and everything online (so I don't have to leave Copeland) but there is just a lot to get done since I haven't been in school for 3 years. So if you think about it, say a little prayer for me. It will take a little getting used to things again!! :)
A little update on Copeland - he has been talking, or at least trying. He can say several words, but tonight before I put him to bed, he was giving everyone good night kisses and we were all saying "night night" and he said it back!! It was the cutest thing ever!! For some people, that is not a big deal... but for us it's a big deal! Copeland just hasn't really started talking clearly or using sentences yet so any new word is a big step!! I asked his doctor about this, and the doctor said he's fine and there is nothing to worry about until after he turns two or three - I just wish he would start really talking! But I will just leave it in God's hands. He can say drink, oliver, Beau (yes he calls daddy Beau), bite, that, ok, and a few others. He's growing up so fast. I'll try to get some pics up. They are still on the camera!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Just the two of us...

What a week. It flew by, and to think we will be heading to IN again in just a week! November is going so fast! It was good to be home last week, but I just wish it had been under different circumstances. It was so good to see all my dad's family though.
I still think of Jami and the girls and can't imagine what they are going through.
It really makes me appreciate everything I have, and to still have my dad. I feel so blessed in all
areas of my life. I have a beautiful healthy baby boy, a healthy loving husband, caring parents,
and a wonderful brother and sister! I would not say we are rich, but we are rich where it counts!
I know the Lord will always take care of us and provide for us. Along with that, I am reading the
book "The Shack" and it is a wonderful book that really helps me understand God and how he
works. I have not finished it yet, but I recommend it!
Anyway, I don't have any pictures from home because our camera broke, but
we got a new one today so I can start taking pics again!
Beau is on a hunting trip tonight and tomorrow, so it's just Copeland and I, and Oliver :)
God Bless!!

Catching up and Prayer Request

It has been a while since I have posted!
Last weekend I had a tastefully simple party, and two of my very best friends drove out here for it!! Thank you Kayla and Shaya!! We had so much fun just hanging out and talking. It was great having the two of them here! We only took one picture and that was with Shaya's camera so it's hard telling when I'll get it! :)
This past weekend was another busy one. Friday night we passed out candy to what seemed like 1000 trick or treaters. We finally just left and went to a costume party. Then on Sat. the base put on a fall fest. It was a lot of fun. There was face painting, bouncy castles, food, a bonfire, and hay rides. We enjoyed taking Copeland on his first hay ride and then drank hot chocolate by the fire! What a great way to spend the evening!!  Of course then Sun. we went to church, took naps, and just relaxed the rest of the day.
But then last night about 12:20, my mom called saying that my Uncle Jim (my dad's younger brother) had a heart attack and had passed. Please keep his wife, Jamie and their 3 girls in your prayers. We will be heading home tomorrow for the funeral. I'll leave you with a few pics of our weekend.
God Bless!

New Pictures

Here are some pics from this past weekend. We had a very busy weekend, which we are not really used to :) but it was fun.

Sat. we went to a pet show on base. It wasn't really anything to exciting, but Cope LOVES dogs so we went to check it out. There were plenty of dogs for him to chase around. Several of them had on costumes which was pretty funny. Then we went to the bday party I talked about. Copeland was a cowboy and the cutest little cowboy I have to say!! He had fun playing with the other kids and seeing their costumes. Then sunday we went to the Kansas City Chiefs game. We had never been to a pro football game before... We wished it was the Colts, but Chiefs are big out here so it was fun to get to experience that. Copeland did exceptionally well. I didn't know how he would do, but he loved it. He did get kinda fussy at the end, but the poor kid hadn't had is nap yet. He fell asleep on Beau walking out of the stadium!
That was our fun filled weekend!

I just have to say, Beau and I started our own travel business. I will dedicate a whole post to that probably wed. or thurs. so be sure to check it out!!
Thanks!!!

Check out Cope's hair!!! It was a little windy ha

Ok, here is is costume... the funniest thing about this is
he acted like nothing was hanging off him.
He was totally oblivious the the big floppy horse that followed him around!!

Our 3 day weekend

We had another 3 day weekend with Beau. He was off today for Columbus day. We had a very relaxing, yet enjoyable weekend. On friday night, we went to eat with a guy Beau got to be really good friends with in Iraq. He is a single guy so he hangs out here a lot, and he loves Cope so they play together. Saturday we went to the BX (it's like a walmart with a food court and a coffee shop) for what we thought was going to be a pet show - it was cancelled, but the fire dept. was out for fire prevention week. We enjoyed that anyway. (see pics below) Sunday we went to church and worked in the nursery. Copeland's class. It was an answered prayer, because Copeland freaks out when we leave him in nursery. It's so bad that twice they had to get us! Anyway, I prayed that Sunday would go ok, and there was an opening in his class. God did answer our prayer, just in a way I didn't expect! :) The rest of the day we just hung out and watched the Colts game.  Then today we went to the state park for a picnic and to enjoy the fall weather. We had a great time! I gave Copeland a little hair cut before we left. His hair was so long it was hanging in his eyes. I hated to cut it, but felt bad for him.
We have a birthday party/costume party this weekend and hopefully we will get our family pics also.
Hope everyone has a good week!

not a very good pic, but we had to get at least one of  the 3 of us.

I have been tagged

Ok, here are my 6 random facts that might people not know:

1. I have never been to a circus. I don't know why I never went as a child, and I even lived in Evansville for 3 years and never went. That is one thing I would like to do, and experience with Copeland.

2. I have 2 tattoos! I have a flower on my foot, and a celtic love not on my lower abdomen. (Beau has a matching love knot)

3. I LOVE ice cream!!! I could eat it every day if I knew I wouldn't gain 100 lbs. LOL! It is definitely my weakness.

4. I strive to live everyday for Christ and be the best mother I can be. I want Copeland to know all about Jesus and his stories, the Bible, and know how to pray. It is not easy, but I do the best that I can.

5. Family is VERY important to me. I love my family and my mom is one of my very best friends.

6. I'm scared to get pregnant again! I want to, and I will, I'm just scared to go through all of that again. It was a wonderful experience, but at the same time, I didn't have the easiest pregnancy or delivery or recovery! So, it is a fear that keeps building inside me. I will have another child, I just have to be very ready!

Ok, I now tag, Jamie Knepp, Tara Brower, and mandy Ash... Sorry if you have already been tagged!

I have been fighting a sore throat since Wednesday. Each day it gets worse. I went to the doctor on Friday and the doctor said it is just viral and there is nothing to do for it. That was the worst news I could hear! I have hardly moved all weekend! Like I said, each day it gets worse. So bad that Beau wanted to take me to the ER last night. We didn't end up going, but I think I might go back to the doctor tomorrow and beg for help!
Beau has been wonderful through all of this. Taking care of me, Copeland, and the dog!! He has cooked, picked up, taken Cope to the park, cleaned up after the dog, found a home remedy for me to try, and held me when I cried because I was just at rock bottom last night. I get sore throats a lot, to the point my parents and Beau want me to get my tonsils out, but I think this has been the worst sore throat I have ever had!! I can't even talk it hurts so bad! Please don't think I am complaining. It has actually taught  me a little. Like how I love being able to take care of Copeland. I take it for granted. Something I do everyday and sometimes I roll my eyes and think just give me a break! Well I got a break and I don't like it! I love taking care of my family. And I love being able to swallow! Ha that is something I definitely take for granted.
Ok, enough about sore throats... I will post pics and write later - when I feel up to par! If you think about it, just say a prayer for me please. Thanks!!

New Puppy and Indiana

We had quite an exciting weekend. On friday we drove 3 hours to get our new puppy - Oliver. He is amazing! He is the best dog. So good natured and already starting to obey!! He just follows Copeland around and tugs at his shirt. It is the cutest thing. Anyway, since we had to drive 3 hours anyway, we though we might as well go on to Indiana. It was a very short trip, but at least we got to see our family.
As soon as we got in on friday we went to eat at Fat Boys, and saturday we just hung out, but it's very hard to split time between two families.  It's very hectic when we are running back and forth to our parents' houses. Then sunday morning we got up and left!! Like I said - short trip!!
Here are pictures of Copeland and his dog, and in his new Colts sweatshirt Nana (my mom) got for him.   We will be home for about a week over Thanksgiving so hopefully it won't be as crazy and we will actually get to see people!
I'll give a puppy update later this week.

Copeland had a blast with a dog in the car on the way back. It helped keep hi entertained!
